We can set up as many matches each week as a team wants. Of course, availability is always going to be an issue since we need 4 to start and we only have 4 to choose from. I think it would be good for us to have the option to play a "wildcard" so that we can ensure matches can go ahead if a team only has 3 available. that wildcard, could be anyone, even from another team. whats your thoughts on that? we will keep it going for the winter months, no set date to finish at the moment, but we can all decide on a date that would be good to decide who wins the league. You can race any team and as often as you wish. It is a work in progress, we are undoubtedly going to hit areas that need improving, or clarifying, we can all do that together by making suggestions. In effect, it is all of us that will build this system together as we navigate through it. :)

Regular bikes, and the winning team will be the team with the highest score.. for Example, Team Alpha may get 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th accumulating a total of 8+7+2+1= 18, Team Beta may get 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th accumulating a total of 6+5+4+3= 18, meaning draw!!! 18pts given to both teams on the League.

Do you use discord at all? or perhaps we could integrate a chat page for each Team here within this website for Captains to update. Leave it with me, ill come up with something!

It can be any day. Your Team Captain will drop a poll with you, and get your availability, and based on that, show that availability to the other teams to see who can fit with it. Ideally it wouldnt be Tuesday and Thursday because ZRL and TTT, BUT not everyone does those events, so if thats the preferred option, thats whats offered! :)

Yes! The teams are of mixed ability, hence the handicap to equal the playing field somewhat. Tactic for the team with the B cat, should you be starting AFTER the team you face would be B pulling the team!! Remember, a team with 2 fast Bs, who finish 1st and 2nd, doesnt beat a team of Ds who finish 3rd,4th,5 and 6th!! :)

Yes Kev, you can be in more than 1 team. As long as you can be available for both, then its no problem at all.

BIG chance!!! For a start, The A team will be sitting in the pen for 3 minutes before they can even come after you!! Pick a course that suits your riders, and work together, utilising the draft effect as best you can. in theory, a weaker team with the better teamwork will beat the stronger team with the poor teamwork. We will see, but its worth a shot? :)

Great question! The handicap times stay fixed per category (A/B/C/D) so everyone’s start offset is consistent.
Different courses don’t change that, it’s all based on the average rider category mix.
Captains can choose routes, but the handicaps stay constant for fairness. We can see how it works, and as we start to play matches, we can make any adjustments to ensure the system is fair for everyone.

Any day that works. Your captain will make a group up for your team, and then put up a poll to get available days and times. He will then pop up his availability within the Winter League Captains group so that events can be created! Groups will be formed shortly!! :)

Once you are locked into a team, your team captain will create a messenger group, just for your team. Your captain will be invited to a messenger group WINTER LEAGUE CAPTAINS, where the captains of each team can organise matches with other teams. Once a match has been agreed and the map decided, we will then set up your event, and add it to upcoming matches here. Once the match has been completed, the points will be given to each team, and the league positions will change. Every match will be recorded also, so expect to see the Match Record.

You can join at any stage of the Season. Just put your name into the section, FIND ME A TEAM.. or if you know the team you wish to join, and they are needing a player, then let me know, and ill add you to that team! If the drop down box for the team is showing, then you can just skip me, and add yourself to the team!! i will lock all the teams that are full.
